The Problem
West Visayas State University (WVSU) student organizations historically relied entirely on Facebook to post announcements and manage public information. This approach introduced significant drawbacks:
Search Impairment - Information was difficult to query via external search engines and privately restricted posts were completely inaccessible to non-Facebook users.
Zero Platform Control - Student organizations had no influence over SEO, interface structure, or content longevity on a third-party social platform.

The Solution
The USC InfoSite was developed to serve as the official, centralized hub for WVSU student leadership and organizational data:
Organization Directory - Hosts over 70 student organizations, featuring complete officer rosters, adviser contacts, descriptions, and social links.
Events & Timeline Hub - Organizes University Student Council (USC) activities chronologically with clear timelines and updates.
Governance Portal - Provides transparent access to officer details, missions, and visions for both the USC and its IT division, the Commission on Innovation and Tech Empowerment (CITE).
Academic Calendar - Features WVSU's official academic schedule prominently on the homepage for quick access.

Technical & Leadership Highlights
Architectural Decisions - Built on a lightweight PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript stack to guarantee minimal runtime overhead. Docker was implemented to standardize local development across incoming maintainers. GitHub Actions was then used to automate code standardization and platform deployment.
Project Supervision - Took over maintainership from senior developers, leading and coordinating a team of up to 10 student volunteers between 2023 and 2026 to ensure platform stability and continuous updates.
SEO Optimization - Structured semantic HTML and meta data, elevating the site to the #1 rank on Google for university organization queries without paid optimization.
Open-Source Hand-off - Fully documented and open-sourced the repository upon graduation, ensuring future student cohorts can seamlessly contribute and maintain the platform.
